Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, OM, FBA (Telugu 5 September 1888 17 April 1975) was an Indian philosopher and statesman. He was the first Vice- chairman of India (19521962) and subsequently the moment President of India (19621967). One of Indias close to influential scholars of comparative religion and philosophy, Radhakrishnan is considered by his efforts to concord built a nosepiece between the East and the West by showing that the philosophical systems of each custom are comprehensible within the damage of the other.He wrote authoritative exegeses of Indias religious and philosophical belles-lettres for the English speaking world.
